General information

 Congress venue
The congress will be held on the Lido of Venice, at the Palazzo del Casinò and the adjacent Palazzo del Cinema. The venue - connected to Saint Mark's Square by a narrow strait of lagoon - stands in an area recognized worldwide as the setting for the annual Venice International Film Festival.

Internet pub
An internet pub will be set up providing facilities for on-line contacts.

Lunch
Light sandwich lunches will be served to all delegates from Monday through to Wednesday. Serving stations are located in the exhibition and poster areas.

Climate
Average mid-day temperatures in May are around 20-25℃. There can be light showers, so be prepared for rain as well.

Dress
The dress code is business casual. Bring a raincoat and a warm wrap. Comfortable shoes are recommended for the excursions.

Currency
Euro is the local currency.

Electricity
The electricity supply in Venice is 220 V AC and two-pin plugs are used. For British and US plugs, an adaptor is needed. Adaptors may not easily be found in Venice so it is wise to bring them from home.

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that all delegates take out their own travel and medical insurance prior to coming to the congress. The organisers will not take any responsibility for any participant failing to insure. Please seek further information from your travel agent or airline.
