31st Congress European Brewery Convention

Scientific Programme

The scientific programme will comprise invited lectures, submitted lectures and poster presentations with discussions. The presentations will cover different aspects of brewing science and technology, including the application of new technology, beginning with raw materials, including the brewing, packaging and distribution processes and ending with consumer consumption. Posters can be viewed and discussed with the authors from Monday through to Wednesday in an extended lunch interval during which a buffet lunch will be provided for all delegates.

Submission of papers/posters

Please use the online submission form that can be found on EBC’s website: http://www.ebc-nl.com. Proposals for papers should have been submitted before 15 September 2006; those for posters before 1 December 2006. Speakers and poster presenters will enjoy a considerable reduction in the registration fees.

 

Exhibition

Following the success of the two previous congresses, EBC will again organize a Table Top Exhibition for suppliers to the brewing industry, research institutes and brewing schools. The exhibition will be located in the same area where also the scientific and technical posters, the beer dispense and hospitality areas are set up. The exhibition can be visited every day, as from Monday, 09.30 hrs. Publication of details regarding the exhibition is foreseen for September 2006. Congress Language

English is the only congress language.

Summaries of Congress Contributions

The summaries of all papers and posters will be published on EBC’s website prior to the congress.

Technical Visits

To support the scientific programme, technical visits are being arranged for Thursday 10 May to in any case Birra Peroni in Padua and Heineken in Comun Nuovo (Bergamo).

Social Programme

There will also be a full social programme and delegates and their partners will have opportunities to experience Italian hospitality and explore the beautiful and world-famous city of Venice and the surrounding countryside. Details will be published in the Provisional Programme.
